| From the Ashes' is the pilot episode of the series 'Frybread', based off of the cult classic hit film 'More Than Frybread' which was released in theatres in 2012. The series follows former WWFA president, Donathan Littlehair, as he tries to rebuild the World Wide Frybread Association. President Littlehair will do anything necessary to push the cause of frybread forward. This is Holt Hamilton Films first attempt at a series. Season 1 will contain 13, half hour, episodes. We hope you enjoy this episode and eventually, this series. The only series devoted entirely to Native American Frybread! | |

Frybread Cookoff |

 Day 2 of our Frybread celebration features a frybread cookoff. The competition will begin at 6 pm in the library’s south parking lot on Friday, October 26th. Contestants must complete a registration form and supply their own cooking setup, ingredients and utensils. Frybread must be made from scratch on premises. More Than Frybread director Travis Holt Hamilton will be here to help judge participants’ entries. For more information please contact the Reference Desk at

| All contestants must be registered by Thursday, October 25, 2018. The library may need to close registration early if the maximum number of contestants is reached. | |
| All contestants must check in by 5:30pm on Friday, October 26, 2018. | |
| The library is not liable for any injuries incurred during the contest. | |
| Contestants will provide their own cooking set-up, ingredients, and cooking utensils. The library is not liable for any possible damage to cooking set-ups or cooking utensils. | |
| Frybread must be made from scratch on premises. | |
| Contestants have a time limit of 1 hour from the announced start of cooking to turn in their piece of frybread. | |
| Plain frybread will be judged - no toppings may be put on frybread after cooking. | |
| Frybread will be judged on the following criteria: Taste, Appearance, and Texture. | |
| All judges’ decisions are final. | |
| People’s Choice prize will be awarded by library patrons voting for the best frybread. Please have samples available for taste. | |
| 1st, 2nd, 3rd and People’s Choice prizes will be awarded | |
