Film Screening
Thursday, October 26
6pm - 9pm
Join us for a special screening of the film More Than Frybread. Director and producer Travis Holt Hamilton (Turquoise Rose) will introduce the film, and following the screening, he will conduct a Q&A period. More Than Frybread follows twenty-two Native American frybread makers, representing all twenty-two federally recognized tribes in Arizona, as they convene in Flagstaff to compete for the first ever, first annual, state of Arizona Frybread Championship! The film takes a larger than life turn as four contestants battle their way to compete for the title in the championship round. This is the frybread competition unlike any you have ever seen, and the movie you can almost taste!
Don’t forget to join us at the library Friday night for our own fierce frybread cookoff!
