Join us in the Multipurpose Room for dinner and a movie, as Field of Dreams leads off the third season of Reel Readers, at 6:00pm on Thursday, September 18.

“If you build it, he will come” – that’s the instruction Ray Kinsella hears while in his Iowa cornfield. Ray knows just what that means, and sacrifices part of his acreage to build a baseball field. Field of Dreams, the film adaptation of the novel Shoeless Joe, takes us into Ray Kinsella’s life, his family, a J.D.Salinger-like writer, and a ballplayer whose long-ago single day in the major leagues poses an intriguing mystery. Characters fanciful and real flesh out this story of faith and redemption, where baseball meets magical realism.
