Come anytime between 10am and 2pm to draw or stay the whole time! Youth services staff will introduce a large spirograph you can use to draw on the library sidewalks.

Science Saturday, June 14 @ 11am
Explore the Mysteries and Wonders of Chaco Canyon
  Discover Chaco Canyon and what life was like in the Southwest 1000 years ago as you learn about this national treasure in our backyard. Experience the past with the help of a Chaco Culture National Historical Park Ranger and participating students at the one hour event.

  • Limited to 22 families per session
  • (Recommended for students in grades 3 and up and their families)
  • Dinner snack and daycare is provided for preschool/toddlers

Session is scheduled from 5:30pm to 7pm

Interested in being a youth storyteller in 2014?

Youth interested in telling at the Four Corners Storytelling Festival are welcome to join us for workshops. Workshops are scheduled on Wednesday, June 18 & 25 @ 1pm to 2pm. The festival is scheduled for Friday, October 11 at Berg Park.

Download and complete the Youth Storytelling Form and bring to the workshop.

TEACHER/EDUCATOR ORIENTATION for Fall Library Programs

Teachers and educators please register for the library's Teacher Orientation on Thursday, July 31 from 11am to 1pm. Find out what is happening during the school year and what resources are available for you and your students. Your school may win a storyteller or an author at your school! Register online at www.infoway.org (Library Events Calendar) or Teacher Orientation and include a box lunch selection.

Make.Do Fair on Saturday, July 26 from 11am to 1pm

Register to Make.Do a project at our indoor/outdoor event. Everyone is welcome to register an activity. If your activity is accepted, the library can help you with some supplies.

Bring your recycled pallet project to the Pallet Throwdown! Win Prizes, too!

 

Bayless Power Library
Farmington Public Library partnership with Boys & Girls Club of Farmington

The Bayless Power Library, a branch of the Farmington Public Library, is located in the Boys & Girls Club of Farmington and staffed by the Farmington Public Library Youth Services.

Library cards are issued at the Farmington Public Library and club members can check out reading materials. Books can be returned to the main library or the club. HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD. Fines must be paid at the main library.

SUMMER HOURS: The club is open from 1 to 4:30pm. All club members register for summer reading and read and log fifteen books. Club members participate in reading activities and technology projects and visit the main library during the summer months.

 
Located on Hwy. 491 North across from the Northern Navajo Medical Center, the door is on the east side of the Shiprock Boys & Girls Club building all programs offered by the Shiprock Branch Library are FREE. Get a library card! Use the computers at the library. Check the Shiprock Library Events Calendar. Hours: 2pm to 6pm Monday Through Friday and we are closed Saturday and Sunday.
