    • Make a name tag
  • 10:30am Toddlers age 0-3, with parent,
  • 10:30am Preschool age 3-5, proceed to Library Laboratory
    • Twenty minute Story Time sessions
    • Twenty minute Activity sessions
  • Rotation between the groups at 10:50
  • Sessions end at 11:15am

Read Across America Week, Mar. 3-7

"You're never too old, too wacky, too wild to pick up a book and read to a child."

Dr Seuss It's that time of year again! Come to the library for story time and celebrate a whole week of all things reading, featuring Dr. Seuss! The fun will include an interactive reading of "Hop on Pop" and Seuss-ian games and activities for all ages. "Meet the Cat in the Hat" after each Story Time!

2014 Summer Reading

We had a great summer reading program for 2013. Over 7,646 kids and teens registered for summer reading, read and logged 49,864 books and they attended 165 programs.

Bayless Power Library

Youth will be taking field trips to the library for programs.
Teens will be taking a field trip to attend Teen Technology Week at the main library.

The Farmington Public Library at the Bayless Power Library assists the Boys & Girls Club of Farmington with the educational component that aims to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time and are ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career. Researchers tell us programs like these help combat kids' summer learning loss, keep kids safe, inspire them to learn, and help working families.Powerlibrary@infoway.org (505) 566-1202.

The Power Library is open from 3pm to 6pm on Monday through Thursday. During no school days, the club is open from 10am to 3pm. Club Tech is scheduled on Tuesdays at 4pm and participants learn new technology using the mobile devices and legos.

Participants have started their portfolios and this month will add information they have learned during National Bullying Prevention Month at the club. Club members take care of their own portfolios and update them monthly on the power hour chart.
