Accelerated Readers

Motivating students of all ability and grade levels to read more and better books.

The Farmington Public Library works with local elementary and junior high schools using the Accelerated Reader Program. When the library receives the Accelerated Reader Master Book Included in the book lists are the title, author, reading level, and points that can be earned when students take the test at the school. After finding a book in the notebooks the book must than be looked up on the Webcat compters.

Master book lists, arranged by participating schools, are in a notebook at the main library. Parents, students, and teachers can request the Accelerated Reader Master Book List to make a book selection. Local schools working with the Accelerated Reader should provide the library with Accelerated Reader Book List for students wanting to check out books at the library. Please mail or take a copy to FPL Youth Services for more information.
