SUMMER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
Summer officially begins Friday, June 21, 2013
The library was built in line with the meridian, and both solstices are marked on the floor. At exactly noon on both the winter and summer solstice, the sun briefly illuminates the appropriate inscription. Youth music, dance and hands-on activities begin at 10am as part of the summer reading program at the library.
This event is part of Summer Learning Day in Youth Services @ library!
