Art at the Farmington Public Library
Art in public places helps define the community that it "lives in." As part of the community and supporter of the arts, Farmington Public Library offers several public displays, representing works by the following artists.
Amri Studio (formerly Wallach Glass Studio)
Christine Wallach, of Amri Studio, designed the glass Donor Wall. Amri Studio also created the glass "four directions" directory, in collaboration with Anthony Chee Emerson.
Anthony Chee Emerson designed the art surrounding the library diagram for the glass directory. It is the round glass that is mounted in rock, to the right as you enter the library rotunda.
Designed by Fredrick Prescott, the three horse sculptures located on the south lawn of the library are kinetic-their heads move in the wind.
Beautiful and intriguing petroglyphs etched into the glass walls are all representative of ancient artwork found in the local area.
Steve Myers created the bronze sculpture found on the south lawn area of the library. The title of the sculpture is "Reflections," and was designed to be a celebration of youth.
The image used on a past Regional Library Card is by photographer Todd Powell.
Tom and Bev Taylor created the wonderful doors that mark the entry to our Story Time Theater.
