Here’s how to enter for a chance to win $500:
Step 1: Create a video that shows Google why they should choose Farmington for the “Fiber for Communities” project. The more creative you are, the better chance you have.
Step 2: Post the video to You Tube, or other video sharing site.
Step 3: With your Google or Gmail account, nominate Farmington for Google’s “Fiber for Communities” project. You can go to www.thinkbigfarmington.com and click on “How to Nominate Farmington” for the link, or go directly to http://www.google.com/appserve/fiberrfi/public/options Be sure to include the link to your video in your nomination.
Step 4: Email the link to your creative video to think.big.farmington@gmail..com to enter. Be sure to include your name, email address and phone number, and the name of your school. Deadline for entries is March 19th. Only videos that have been submitted with a nomination will be considered.
Step 5: Come to the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Council Meeting on April 1st, 7:00 pm at the Farmington Public Library Teen Zone. The Farmington Google Task Force will announce the winners and award $500 to the high school student with the most creative entry, and they will award another $500 to the college student with the most creative entry.
Here’s the legal stuff:
- Entries must be received by 11:59 pm on Friday, March 19.
- All entries must be emailed to think.big.farmington@gmail..com
- Only videos that have been submitted to Google with a nomination will be considered.
- Winners will be determined by the Farmington Google Task Force. Entries will be judged by creativity, and how effectively the entry demonstrates why Farmington could benefit from Google’s “Fiber for Communities” program. The judges’ decision is final.
- Winners will be announced at the April 1st MTAC meeting. Contestants do not need to be present to win.
- $1000 total will be awarded. $500 will be awarded to one high school student and to one College student.
- No purchase is necessary to enter this contest.
