Got Socks? Got Gloves? Got Hats?
Featuring teens from The Mayor's Teen Advisory Council
"MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY"
On October 27, the youth in the community were invited to A Series of Unfortunate Events storytelling and carnival at the Farmington Public Library with the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Council.
The teen council organized a fun event and introduced Make a Difference Day during the event to get the community to start bringing socks, hats and gloves for the homeless. The teen council will distribute all the socks, hats and gloves at the Thanksgiving Day lunch for the less fortunate. This is a project that is repeated from the previous year that received a great response.

Mayor Bill Standley was on hand to help teens distribute the wonderful gifts (youth received coloring books and crayons, too) at the event. Mayor Bill Standley also donated the pumpkin pies!
